On this date 33 years ago in 1981, Grammy and Academy Award winner Mr. George Ryan Bingham (known as Ryan Bingham) was born. In light of his birthday, and weeks of closure of the wild 2015 South By Southwest (SXSW) – a huge music festival that takes place in Austin, Texas during March every year – I wanted to share some of my footage from the awesome live music performance by Ryan Bingham at Auditorium Shores in downtown Austin for SXSW 2015.
Ryan Bingham is an Americana singer-songwriter mixes a southern twang onto rock n’ roll jams covered in folk rhythms and poetic lyrics. His voice echoes a rough edge while his words can either take you down a dark road or a sunlit path. Best of all, his songs tell stories, that take you on journeys.
His recent album, Fear and Saturday Night, was released January 20th, 2015, and in my own opinion, I feel it’s his best one yet! But you don’t have to take my word for it, visit his website at, www.binghammusic.com, to check it out! I highly recommend purchasing it, however if you’re not yet convinced, at least just listen to the album and get a lil’ musical soul in ya’ bones!
The free show at Auditorium Shores show took place on March 20th, 2015, on the shores of Lady Bird Lake with the bright skyscrapers of downtown Austin in the background. The lineup itself had an amazing group of extremely talented musicians: Carson McHone, Jackie Greene, Luther Dickinson, and of course Ryan Bingham.
Let’s just say that these videos will really make you feel like you were there in the crowd! 😉 To see more photographs of the show, please visit the Instagram page at instagram.com/coyotehearts (@coyotehearts).
